“Live West, Think West, Work West”

Glendale, AZ (March 20, 2017) – The Western Maricopa Coalition (WESTMARC) will host its inaugural West Valley Healthcare Career Expo in partnership with Career Connectors on April 19, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at The Colonnade at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85382.  This expo is a collaboration of all major healthcare organizations in the Phoenix West Valley to connect future and current healthcare professionals with employers and education opportunities.  WESTMARC and Career Connectors are proud to present this expo in conjunction with Arizona@Work and Goodwill® of Central Arizona.

The theme of the event is “Live West, Think West, Work West”, targeting people living in the West Valley but commuting to work.  This event will bring over 20 healthcare companies and 10 educational institutions together under one roof to offer interested candidates impressive career options.

“We are thrilled to co-sponsor the West Valley Healthcare Career Expo.  The West Valley’s population is now at 1.5 million and still growing.  Almost 70% of our workforce commute into other parts of the region for work each day; 37% of those are healthcare professionals. This Expo will not only connect job seekers to healthcare providers but it will also allow them to connect with educational opportunities, further developing the pipeline for the healthcare industry in the West Valley,” said Sintra Hoffman, WESTMARC President and CEO.

“We are honored to partner with WESTMARC to bring together healthcare companies in need of talent in the West Valley and qualified candidates looking to advance their careers. This is a terrific way for healthcare professionals to connect with a variety of employers in a single place,” said Jessica Pierce, Executive Director of Career Connectors. Jessica added, “It’s a rare opportunity to have a regional initiative of healthcare organizations and educational institutions available in one location.”

Featured Expo hiring sponsors include: Sonora Quest, Banner Health, Rapid Recovery Centers, ASU, Midwestern University, Tenet Healthcare, Abrazo Healthcare and Good Samaritan Society. Additional organizations to be announced on the event page.
